Four Free Magento 2 Extensions to Streamline Post-Sales Activities

Finding quality, free extensions for Magento 2 stores is an uphill task. The technical differences between the two versions of Magento have complicated the situation even more. If you are looking for a free solution for your Magento 2 store, you won’t be as lucky as you would be with Magento 1.x.

Default Magento 2 assigns different order, invoice, shipping, and credit memo numbers for the same order. But, you can simplify your numbering system by keeping these numbers the same. Fooman Same Order Invoice Number is an extension which lets you do this.
Once installed, when a new invoice (e.g. INV-003), shipment (e.g. SHIP-003) or credit memo (e.g. CREDIT-003) is created it will always take the same number as the associated order number (e.g. ORDER-003). If things get a bit more complicated and you have multiple invoices, credit memos or shipments associated with one order, the extension kicks in with automatic duplicate separation.
Why would you want to do this? This small change keeps your sales documents simple and well-organized. Your customer benefits by only having to reference one number consistently displayed on all documents. This means much less confusion when dealing with customer service.
Attach PDFs to Sales Emails Without the Fuss
