The logo of your Magento 2 store should always point to your brand which makes your store become more trustworthy and professional to the visitors. You can use any one of the extensions like PNG, GIF, JPG, JPEG or SVG and can directly upload it through the admin panel.

The size and location of the logo in the header may vary in the design and development of your Magento 2 store theme. If you don’t know the size of the default logo that is used in your theme, then right-click the image, click inspect the element and check out the size to get the best fit according to your theme.

Magento 2 Favicon

Favicon is the short form of “Favorite Icon” and refers to the small icon at the left side of browser’s tab near to the page title. In some web browsers, it also appears in the address bar, just before the start of URL. Magento 2 accepts ICO, PNG, GIF, JPG, JPEG, APNG and SVG image file extensions for Favicon, so you need to make sure that your favicon image is already in one of these extensions before updating it. Most of the browsers support ICO format so we normally use ICO extension for our favicon image. Generally, the size of favicons are 32x32px or 16x16px.

So, here is how you can update the Magento 2 Favicon.

Step 1: Login to your Magento 2 Admin Panel, go to tab “STORES” from the left sidebar and under “Settings” click “Configuration”.
Step 2: At the left panel below the “General”, click “Design” and expand “HTML Head” from the right panel.
