In this series, you will be able to learn how to customize Magento 2 store branding and copyright material via Magento 2 Admin Panel. This will help you to make your site look professional according to the needs of your business. Below are the topics which will be covered in this section:
  • Magento 2 Logo
  • Magento 2 Favicon
  • Magento 2 Welcome Note / Message
  • Magento 2 Demo Notice – Remove Guide
  • Magento 2 Footer Copyright

Magento 2 Logo

The logo of your Magento 2 store should always point to your brand which makes your store become more trustworthy and professional to the visitors. The logo quality and design should be good enough so it can match your theme colors and brand view. You can use any one of the extensions like PNG, GIF, JPG, JPEG or SVG and can directly upload it through the admin panel. The size and location of the logo in the header may vary in the design and development of your Magento 2 store theme. If you don’t know the size of the default logo that is used in your theme, then right-click the image, click inspect the element and check out the size to get the best fit according to your theme. To change the logo, you can follow the tutorial on how to easily change your Magento 2 logo using admin panel. Step 1: Login to your admin panel. On the left sidebar, click on the “STORES“. Step 2: Under “Settings” menu, tab “Configuration“. Step 3: On the left panel, under “General“, click “Design“. Step 4: On the right panel, expand “Header” section. Step 5: To upload a new logo, click on “Choose File” button, select your logo from the computer. Below that, enter the image’s Width and Height and in “Logo Image Alt“, write down the alternative text for the image. When you are done, click “Save Config” at the top-right corner. Note: Your logo also appears on email templates, invoices, and other sales documents of your store. The logos used for them require different sizes and they must be uploaded separately.

Magento 2 Favicon

Favicon is the short form of “Favorite Icon” and refers to the small icon at the left side of browser’s tab near to the page title. In some web browsers, it also appears in the address bar, just before the start of URL. Magento 2 accepts ICO, PNG, GIF, JPG, JPEG, APNG and SVG image file extensions for Favicon, so you need to make sure that your favicon image is already in one of these extensions before updating it. Most of the browsers support ICO format so we normally use ICO extension for our favicon image. Generally, the size of favicons are 32x32px or 16x16px. So, here is how you can update the Magento 2 Favicon. Step 1: Login to your Magento 2 Admin Panel, go to tab “STORES” from the left sidebar and under “Settings” click “Configuration”. Step 2: At the left panel below the “General”, click “Design” and expand “HTML Head” from the right panel. Step 3: Now upload your favicon, tap “Choose File” button, select your favicon image. When you are done, click “Save Config” to set your new favicon.

Magento 2 Welcome Note / Message

We warmly welcome you to our colorful world! This can also be an attractive welcome message for your Magento 2 store. Customizing your Magento 2 welcome message will be more attractive, and encourage your customers to purchase more and will also give your customers a good impression of your store. I’m sure that most of the people want to do this immediately. However, it takes the time to find out how you can change it through the Magento 2 Admin Panel. So, therefore, in this post, I will show you how to change your Magento 2 welcome message easily. Step 1: Go to Magento 2 “Configuration”. In the left panel below the “General”, choose “Design” and from the right panel, expand the “Header” section. Step 2: Type your Magento 2 Welcome message that you want to appear at the top of your store and click “Save Config” when complete.

Magento 2 Demo Notice – Remove Guide

After successful installation of Magento 2, you might get a Demo Store Notice at the top of the website to inform visitors that your Magento 2 store is just a demo store and the purchase functions are disabled. This is a very helpful way to tell your customers about the status of the store. However, when your store is 100% ready to go live and all of the functions are in perfect ready condition, then you have to remove the Magento 2 demo store notice to let your visitors buy the products in general. To remove Magento 2 demo store notice, follow these steps: Step 1: In the Magento 2 “Configuration”, click “Design” below the “General” in the left panel and expand the “HTML Head” section at the right side to see all of the options. Step 2: Scroll down a bit and set the Display Demo Store Notice to “No” from the select box and click “Save Config“.

Magento 2 Footer Copyright

Magento 2 Copyright is an information in the footer of Magento 2 store which tells visitors about the current year, the store is powered by your company by law and you have the right to manage it. By default, your Magento 2 store will have a Copyright notice in the footer which will look like this: You need to change it to your own store content and information like everyone does. Now, I will show you how to change your Magento 2 Copyright in just 2 steps: Step 1: Go to the Magento 2 “Configuration”, tap “Design” and expand the “Footer” section. Step 2: Here you can see the “Copyright” box. Enter the copyright notice of your own choice which will appear in the footer of each page. When done, click “Save Config“. And we are done!
