I’m sure by now you’ve heard the big news that Magento has acquired ecommerce analytics solution, RJMetrics. This feature-enhancing software will be integrated into the Magento admin panel and offered as an inbuilt analytics solution. Sweeeet!! In Magento Commerce buys RJMetrics, Zak Stambor discusses why this will prove to be so much better than Google Analytics. Find out how Magento Analytics will help your CRM, cohort analysis, marketing, and merchandising efforts.

Moving on. Nature is beautiful because of the massive diversity of life. And an ecommerce solution cannot be beautiful unless it allows you to customize your web store to your liking. Standing out from other ecommerce stores is important, in terms of how your own store looks. I am frankly amazed by some of the designs on live Magento stores. Jordan Donaldson presents a critique and analysis of such visually amazing Magento stores, in What’s New With Magento: 25 Recent Magento Websites. If you’ve been meaning to redesign your store to optimize conversions, look at this article to be inspired. Take bits and pieces from the different stores, but remember to stay original!

Fayyaz Khattak reminds you that modifying the core Magento files is not recommended at all. But, if you want to override a Magento module function, you can! To find out, read How To Create A Magento Helper. He explains what exactly are helpers, their purpose, how to create helpers, and how to call them.

Let me ask you something. How many countries do you sell your products to? If you want to increase sales, expand your customer base. One way to do that is to show products in the visitor’s local currency. Wajid Hussain shows you the way in How To Configure Currency In Magento 2. Over 200 currencies are available. Wajid shows you the necessary imports and configurations. Check it out!

You may recall we shared news of the launch of Magento’s new technology partner program.  Rebecca Doherty has come up with an op-ed style piece, The Magento Xcelerate program: A positive sum game. She briefly discusses the recent history of Magento’s partnership programs. She also describes how the Xcelerate program is different from previous efforts. It’s worth reading.

On the community front, Phillip Jackson reports that NomadMage #1 a HUGE success! Find out what went on at the event, and some other developments since the launch of NomadMage.

That’s all for now, lovely Magento folks. Stay safe, stay awesome, and don’t forget to drop by next Friday for our next Magento round up.

Until then, peace out!
