Mage Titans Is Happening at Austin Texas This September and You Better Be There!

Mage Titans at Austin Texas

On September 8th and 9th, 2016, Austin, TX will host one of the most awesome conferences in the Magento world, Mage Titans. Attendees will get the chance benefit from the experiences and knowledge of more than 18 rockstars of the Magento Community. It is a conference being organized by developers, especially for developers of this open source ecosystem we all love.

You can tell that the motivation of the organizers is purely out of the love for Magento development because Mage Titans is a non-profit event. All profit above the cost of the event will be donated to a local, well-known charity called Safe Austin. You’ll be helping the fight against sexual exploitation, child abuse, and domestic abuse, by attending the conference. It is being organized by Space 48, which is a prominent Magento Agency. However, the main reason you should attend is the immense benefit you can reap by listening to the talks to be delivered, the discussions to take part in, and the networking opportunities.

In this blog post, I’ll list down some reasons why I think that anyone involved with Magento development should attend this event. Also, if you’re not directly involved in Magento development, but you are a store owner who’d like to enhance your knowledge of this aspect of your online store, or if you work at an agency which builds Magento websites for clients, you can seriously enhance your sales pitches by rolling up your sleeves and learning about Magento development.

So, here we go.

Experience

Mage Titans was first hosted in the Manchester, United Kingdom in 2014. It was a success. It expanded the event location to Milan, and also held a mini event. The US version of Mage Titans is a continuation of the diversification of locations. Given their previous experience of hosting successful Magento conferences, the organizers will host an event which lives up to your expectations.

Emphasis on 3 C’s

It is very important that any conference has a proper strategy for imparting the knowledge of its speakers to the attendees. If there is no coherent style of speaking, teaching, and answering questions, it might not be such an organized experience after all. At Mage Titans, the focus will be to ensure communication, collaboration, and connection among the Magento community.

Next, let’s see who some of the speakers will be and what topic they’ll be presenting on.

Speakers

First off, let’s start with the talk that you should definitely not miss. Sherrie Rohde is Magento’s Community Manager. She’ll be showing you how to get the most out of Mage Titans with her talk, How to Make the Most of Magento Events. By listening to her, you can make the most of your time at the Mage Titans.

Steve Yankovich, the Chief Product Officer of Magento Commerce, has a reputation for innovation. He will be giving a talk on What I think the future of commerce looks like. This talk from an industry leader will apprise you of the current trends and what to expect in the future. Being adaptable is a trait of successful businesses. The early mover advantage is also priceless in the ecommerce industry. So, don’t miss Steve’s talk!

Some other speakers are listed here along with the title of their talk:

  • Ivan Chepurnyi, Original Core Magento Developer –  Creating Micro-Services for Magento 2.0 Performance

….and many more.

Don’t Miss Out
